How the daily puzzles work
The same puzzle for everyone
Each puzzle is generated from a seed made of the date and the difficulty, so everybody who opens this page on a given day gets exactly the same four puzzles. Nothing is stored on a server — the generator runs in your browser.
Levels that mean what they say
Difficulty is not guessed from the clue count. A solver works through every puzzle the way a person would, and each level is defined by the techniques it actually needs. A Medium can never quietly require something from the level above.
Always exactly one solution
Every puzzle is checked to have a single solution, so it can be finished by reasoning alone. Nothing here ever needs a lucky guess to come out right.
Keyboard friendly
Arrow keys move, 1–9 place a digit, Shift plus a digit toggles a pencil mark, N switches note mode, H asks for a hint and Ctrl+Z undoes.
